Outer dimensions are 13.5x11.5 inches (34x29cm). Quality timber frame frame moulding (20mm wide and 30mm deep) with frame colours in your choice of black, white, or raw oak and a choice of black or white card mounts. Frames have a perspex front providing a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

This hand-colored copperplate engraving, taken from Friedrich Johann Bertuch's Bilderbuch fur Kinder (Picture Book for Children), published in Weimar in 1795, showcases an intriguing assemblage of marine life. The image features five distinct species of fish, each adding to the rich tapestry of the underwater world. At the center, the Lamprey or Petromyzon marinus (1) is depicted, a jawless fish characterized by its elongated, eel-like body and the presence of a toothed rostrum. The European Brook Lamprey, Lampetra planeri (2), is shown to its left, a smaller relative of the Lamprey, with a more slender body and a less pronounced rostrum.
