The bottom left image captures the Prince's visit to the Victoria coal mine, where he descended into the depths dressed in brown overalls and a cap, cutting away a piece of steam coal as a memento. These visits were significant moments in the Prince's public engagements, as he sought to connect with the working-class communities and gain a deeper understanding of the mining industries that played a crucial role in the country's economy. The Prince's visits to Cornwall, specifically to the mining towns of South Callington, Gunnislake, and Kit Hill, showcased his commitment to engaging with the people and industries that shaped the region.
