The foreground is dominated by the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) TSR.2 prototype, a twin-engined, variable geometry wing, supersonic maritime strike and reconnaissance aircraft. Its sleek design and innovative features were intended to provide the Royal Air Force with a formidable capability to counter the Soviet Navy's growing threat. Behind the TSR.2, nestled among the trees, is one of the two Bristol 188 prototypes, XF926.
