This stunning photograph captures Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia, born Princess Dagmar of Denmark, in the year 1883. At this time, she was the beloved wife of Tsar Alexander III and the devoted mother of the future Tsar Nicholas II. Maria Feodorovna's marriage to Alexander III in 1866 was a strategic alliance between Russia and Denmark, and their union produced six children. The Tsaritsa is depicted here in elegant attire, with a regal expression and an air of refinement. Her long, flowing hair is styled in intricate braids, and her dark eyes gaze intently at the viewer.
