This broadside announces the final parachute jump performed by the intrepid Elisa Garnerin at the Champ de Mars in Paris on April 21, 1815 or 1836. The announcement marks the third and last parachute descent by Garnerin, a pioneering figure in the history of aeronautics. The image on the left shows two parachutes, one above the other, with the larger one inscribed with the words "Parachute de Melle Garnerin." The smaller parachute bears the name "Tissandier."
