Originally delivered to the USAF as a YC-123B, this aircraft underwent significant modifications by Stroukoff Aircraft Corporation, transforming it into the innovative YC-134. The YC-134 was initially based at Trenton Air Force Base before being transferred to Edwards Air Force Base for extensive testing. Subsequently, it was sent to Fairchild Air Force Base for trials with the J44 jet boost system.
