One man who had slept ona park bench to pick the best of the opening day bargains had already left with his new fridge by the time Johnny had arrived. Johnny siad: " I haven t been to Coventry for years. I just drove past the theatre I played in last time and saw its turned into a bingo hall." Success in the Street also curtailed a career on the big screen, where he worked on films such as the war picture 633 Squadron.
