Thereis not much about the Highway Code that the youngsters of Holy Family School, Keresley, donit know. And to prove it, the school in Penny Park Lane have a shiny new trophy.
A team of six from the school won the Whitley Garage Challenge Shield when they became junior road safety champions of Coventry.
The trophy was presented to the school today by Mr Ron Bryan Coventryis Road Safety Officer, and Mr John Wheeler, general Manager of Whitley Garage, who sponsored the event.
This years competition attracted an entry of 41 schools. The semifinalists were Finham, Ernsford Grange, Clifford Bridge, and Holy Family, who beat Clifford, Bridge in a close final.
The schools team, seen in the picture, are: Mark Caneron, Stephen Flynn, Sean Crowley, Allan Hegarty, Paul Ryan, and David Coyle, all 11-yearsolds.
