Helping feather the nest of the £ 500, 000 Examiner Bodyscanner Appeal are pupils of Hepworth Junior and Infants School who knitted these chickens to sell for the fund. They were sold at a concert, bring and buy sale and cake stall at the school, raising £ 306.50 for the appeal. The children who knitted the chickens are Vicki Warnock, Catherine Osborne, Suzannah Hobbs, Deborah Higgins, Melanie Dunn, Denise Littlewood, Laura Turner, Elizabeth Dempsey, Tracey Holmes and Andrea Whittle. 20th March 1987
