King Sennacherib of Assyria (705-681 BC) was responsible for building at the Akkadian capital of Nineveh.
His grandson Ashurbanipal, the last great King of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, (668-c.627 BC) built the library.
Ashurnasirpal IIs palace of Kalhu at Nimrud was built and completed in 879 BC.
