The image features the Crisia mimic white (Dismorphia crisia 1, 2), Drurys delight (Dismorphia crisia), Mesoxantha ethosea 3, 4, and Acraea bonasia 5, 6. The Crisia mimic white, also known as the Pieris crisia or Leptalis crisia, is depicted in both its dorsal and ventral views. This small, white butterfly is known for its remarkable ability to mimic the appearance of various toxic species, providing it with an effective defense mechanism against predators. The Drurys delight, or Dismorphia crisia, is a beautiful, orange and black butterfly, also shown in both dorsal and ventral views. Its vibrant colors serve as a warning to potential predators that it may be toxic.
