Doris Delavigne, Viscountess Castlerosse, dressed as a fish part of a living Christmas dinner set of fancy dress at the Santa Claus Ball held at the Kit-Cat club on 18 December 1929 in aid of Queen Charlottes Hospital National Mother-Saving Campaign. The ball featured a pageant on the theme of Queen Charlottes Christmas Dinner where well-known Society beauties were disguised as different courses, wine, spirits and puddings! The dresses were designed by the artist Mrs Peter Baxendale and the event was organised by Barbara herself. Date: 1929
