This stunning handcoloured lithograph by Leopold Massard, published in Paul Lacroix's "Costumes Historiques de la France" in 1852, showcases the uniform of a Chasseur-Voltigeur des Troupes Légères (Light Infantry) of the Napoleonic era. The Chasseur-Voltigeurs were an elite light infantry unit known for their agility, marksmanship, and adaptability in various terrains. The uniform depicted in this print is characterized by its distinctive elements.
