EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a vintage LNER poster from 1926, promoting the train and sea services to the picturesque town of Rothesay in Scotland. The artwork, skillfully created by Fred Taylor, captures the essence of this idyllic destination with its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Fred Taylor, renowned for his artistic talents, was commissioned in 1930 to design remarkable ceiling paintings for the Underwriting Room at Lloyds and murals for Reeds Lacquer Room. His exceptional work also graced prestigious galleries such as the Royal Academy.
