Boys Brigade Member in distinctive uniform and cap - posing with rifle and wearing a silver cross medal. Robert Hellis (1835-1895) operated the most studio branches of all photographers in nineteenth century London. Hellis was also known for his skillful work hosting magic seances for evening parties in London. Advertising on the reverse of the cabinet card indicates that Hellis was the official photographer for the Akbaloddowla, ex King of Oude !! Date: circa 1890
