The future princess, born in 1906, is the eldest of four sisters of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Theodora's elder sister, Princess Margarita of Greece, later Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1905-1981), stands to the left of the couple, her radiant smile reflecting the joyous occasion. The sisters' father, Prince Andrew of Greece, is on the far left, proudly watching over his daughters as they embark on their new journeys. Princess Theodora's engagement to Margrave Berthold marked a significant union between the Greek and German royal families.
