The Golden Spangled Hamburgh, also known as the Malay or Rev. Brookes Fowl, is a domestic breed with an exotic appearance, characterized by its iridescent, golden-green plumage. This particular pair was exhibited at various poultry shows during the late 19th century. The cock was shown at the Crystal Palace in Birmingham in 1871, while the hen was exhibited at Kendal, Whitehouse and Spalding in 1871 and Dublin in 1872.
