National 'Notabilities': A Glimpse into the Exciting World of the 1925 Grand National through Caricature Illustrations by The Tout The Grand National, the world's greatest steeplechase, was set to provide its usual thrills and excitement on April 3, 1925. In anticipation of this much-awaited event, our artist, famously known as The Tout, sketched caricature illustrations of some of the most prominent jockeys, owners, and trainers who were expected to make a mark at Aintree Racecourse. The illustrations, titled "National 'Notabilities', Who will win the Grand National?" depict a lively and colorful scene filled with the excitement and tension that surrounded the Grand National.
