In this engraving by Sydney Prior Hall, we witness a group of determined hunters led by an old Frenchman, braving freezing temperatures and treacherous terrain in search of their festive feast. As dusk settles over the snow-covered floor, bloodied tracks mark their progress through the heavy bush.
