This stunning handcolored copperplate engraving is a captivating representation of two intriguing marine creatures, the Black Goby (Gobius niger) and the Highfin Goby (Gobionellus oceanicus), from the Encyclopedia of Natural History: Fish by the renowned Bavarian clergyman and naturalist, Gottlieb Tobias Wilhelm.
