As the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry soldiers make their way through the grand arch at Caerhays Lodge, they are led by a resounding brass band, filling the air with patriotic melodies. Caerhays Castle, a magnificent Grade I listed building designed by renowned architect John Nash for the Trevanion family in the early 1800s, stands proudly in the background. Situated just half a mile south of St Michael Caerhays village, this semi-castellated manor house is currently home to the Williams family and boasts stunning gardens that showcase an impressive collection of magnolias - unrivaled throughout all of Britain. In this snapshot frozen in time, we witness these brave British soldiers dressed smartly in their uniforms as they march forward towards duty and honor.
