Yorcks meeting with the Russian General Diebitsch, 25 December 1812, (1936). Verhandlung Yorcks Mit Dem Russischen General Diebitsch, 25 Dezember 1812. Prussian general Johann David Ludwig Graf Yorck von Wartenburg (1759-1830) negotiates with Count Ivan Ivanovich Diebitsch-Zabalkansky (1785-1831). On 30 December, Yorck signed the Convention of Tauroggen (at Tauroggen, now Taurage, Lithuania), declaring his troops neutral. The agreement effectively ended the fragile Franco-Prussian alliance during the French invasion of Russia.
