The Police were a British rock band formed in London in 1977. The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz. Aswell as five hit albums, including Outlandos d Amour and Reggatta de Blanc, they enjoyed global hit singles such as Roxanne, Message In A Bottle and Every Breath You Take. Band members were Stewart Copeland on drums, Sting (real name Gordon Sumner on lead vocals, bass, and the main songwriter) and Andy Summers on guitar. Henry Padovani was also their guitarist from January to August 1977, but left the band before they became famous.

The print captures a moment of camaraderie and relaxation among the members of The Police, one of the most iconic British rock bands of all time. In this candid shot, Sting can be seen smiling alongside Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, creating an atmosphere that reflects their close bond as musicians. Their unique blend of rock infused with punk, reggae, and jazz influences captivated audiences worldwide. With hit albums like Outlandos d'Amour and Reggatta de Blanc under their belt, they became known for chart-topping singles such as Roxanne, Message In A Bottle, and Every Breath You Take.
