Produced between 1835 and 1838, this exquisite work of art was created through a collaborative effort between Audubon, who provided the natural history expertise, and the Havell & Son firm in London, who executed the engraving, printing, and hand-coloring. The Seaside Sparrow, a member of the family Emberizidae, is depicted in its natural habitat, standing on a rocky shoreline with a twig in its beak.
