Frames have a perspex front providing a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

This historic photograph captures the Curtiss XA-8 30-387, an experimental aircraft designed and built by the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company in the early 1930s. The Curtiss XA-8 30-387 was a single-engine, single-seat biplane, featuring a retractable landing gear and an enclosed cockpit. Its advanced design and innovative features made it a forerunner of modern military aircraft. The aircraft was powered by a Wright R-1710-E3 Whirlwind engine, capable of producing 525 horsepower. Despite its promising start, the Curtiss XA-8 30-387 had a short service life. It was retired from the United States Army Air Corps inventory in March 1937, after only six years of service.
