Three-year-old Phillip Auckland presents a £ 50 cheque from Denby Dale Mothers and Toddlers Group to Dr Michael Miller, consultant paediatrician at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The money, which came out of committee funds, will go to help those with Cystic Fibrosis. The mothers and Toddlers Group is also giving £ 50 cheques to the West Yorkshire Ambulance Service Heartbeat Appeal to buy life-saving equipment for heart attack victims, and a Sheffield children hospital where one of the toddlers was treated for a kidney problem. 11th April 1989
