The image captures the corner view of this historic pub, which was demolished in 1938 and replaced with a new building on the same plot. At the time of this photograph, the pub was under the ownership of the Charrington and Company Limited. The Duke of Cambridge, established in the late 19th century, was a beloved local institution for generations of East Londoners.
