Born as Francois Marie Arouet, Voltaire's intellectual prowess was unmatched as he penned over 20,000 letters and authored more than 2,000 books and pamphlets throughout his lifetime. Not limited to literary pursuits alone, Voltaire delved into scientific works such as "Elemens de la Philosophie de Newton" published in 1738. This guide to Isaac Newton's theories demonstrated his multifaceted genius. History, philosophy, religion, and politics were also subjects that occupied his sharp mind. Voltaire's unwavering commitment to social justice made him a fierce critic of societal and political injustices during his time.
