A 15-foot-long, 500 pound rauisuchian archosaur of the genus Prestosuchus wanders amidst cycads and ferns in a swamp 230 million years ago in what is today Brazil. With long powerful legs, sharp teeth and a crocodile-like body, Prestosuchus was probably an ambush predator and likely a fast runner.
