Dr Who dropped in on Annie Osborn Junior School, in Coventry today with gifts for some

Dr Who dropped in on Annie Osborn Junior School, in Coventry today with gifts for some lucky pupils. The doctor, alias actor Tom Baker, brought special cheer to seven-year-old Lia Morgan-Hayes, who has had her legs in plaster for five weeks. Lia, of Corinthian Place, Henley Green, suffers from a rare hip disease. She will have to wear calipers for the next two years. Dr Who gave Lia an autographed picture of himself and a copy of his new comic, " Dr Who Weekly, " which is published today. He then toured the school giving cards and comics to pupils with birthdays and those who had worked hard all week.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see the iconic Dr Who, portrayed by actor Tom Baker, paying a surprise visit to Annie Osborn Junior School in Coventry. The Doctor brought along gifts for some lucky pupils, spreading joy and excitement throughout the school. One particular pupil who received special attention from the Doctor was seven-year-old Lia Morgan-Hayes. Lia has been enduring five weeks with her legs in plaster due to a rare hip disease she suffers from. To brighten her spirits, Dr Who presented Lia with an autographed picture of himself and a copy of his newly published comic, "Dr Who Weekly". This thoughtful gesture surely brought a smile to young Lia's face during her challenging time. Afterward, the Doctor continued his tour around the school, generously distributing cards and comics to other students who were celebrating birthdays or had shown exceptional dedication throughout the week. The atmosphere must have been electric as these fortunate pupils received unexpected tokens of appreciation from their beloved TV celebrity. This snapshot captures not only the magic of Dr Who but also highlights how celebrities can use their platform to bring happiness and inspiration into children's lives. It is no wonder that memories like these are cherished for years to come by those fortunate enough to experience them firsthand.
