Renowned railway artist Don Breckon at work in his studio in Lostwithiel. Dedicated to getting the detail precise, every painting is a complete story and social history. His favourite era was the 1950s and 1960s, the time when he was embarking on a life as an artist. His work appears in many books and, at the time of the photograph, Country Connections, a book in which 40 of his paintings are reproduced, had just been published.
