At the boys school woodwork teacher John Callaghan built the 5ft. high, 2ft. wide lectern in English elm. Stained black, it has a gold ceramic dove of peace fixed to it. Patrick Donovan, headmaster of the boys school, said: " we are very proud indeed that our school has taken part in the preparations." Our photograph shows Mr Callaghan and some of the boys who helpeed to make the lectern.
